However, the advantages of the self-steering axle, such as steering functionality and manoeuvrability, will apply for funtional reasons only when driving forward. When reversing, the steering mechanism is locked and the axle remains rigid. From now on you benefit from all the advantages of the self-steering axle – even when reversing and manoeuvring.

BPW has developed a new electro-hydraulic auxiliary steering system, named BPW Active Reverse Control, that controls the self-steering axle fully automatically when reversing at speeds of up to 10 km/h. It is an innovative, independent plug & play solution that is easy to install and does not require approval.
